Coffee Keeps You Awake During Ungodly Hours

I just realized that I kinda miss summer. It wasn't exactly an ideal one, I didn't get to do everything I wanted to, and I definitely had my fair share of problems, but still. It was nice learning how to live on my own in La Jolla, going to the beach all the time, and hanging out with good friends. I even miss going to math everyday and hanging out and cooperating on homework with an old friend. It's amazing how one person can make you feel significantly less lonely on a big campus full of strangers.

If only that happened here.

I really should go to sleep, but I ended up sleeping through the entire morning, then consuming coffee at a not-so-smart time. I definitely need to break this habit next quarter. Four science classes? Yeah, not a good idea to sleep through them all the time. I have to say I'm looking forward to my two animal-based and bio classes. Chem, however, is a completely different story. Completely.

Who invented chem anyways? Honestly...

I Really Have Nothing to Say

Except this:

Half the population of California has failed the state, the country, and the world.

I'm So Nervous

Damn. Today is THE day. I'm scared. It's out of my hands now.

I've decided not to argue anymore. It's not worth it. I want to get through this day alive.

And It Makes Me Feel So Fine I Can't Control My Brain

Time's going by much faster than I expected. It's three weeks into the quarter, and I feel like my weekend home is sneaking up very, very quickly. Must start planning.

Anyways, I've been extremely irritated with things lately, although today I've calmed way down. I guess it's just one of my typical phases in which I can't find anything good to say about the world. It helps to have stuff to do (alone, thank you) and to stay out of the house during the day.

I think the only thing that brings me joy and calm these days is an animal. We worked with some goats yesterday, and the doe we milked (yes, milked) was the friendliest, cutest, and most amusing creature I've seen in a while. The cows we encountered (and yes, milked) were also quite awesome. I want a baby cow; they're soft and adorable. :) We worked with horses last week as well. So much fun. Makes me want a horsie now. I should live on a farm.

Weezer concert on Monday was absolutely amazing. Rivers is such a strange person, which definitely makes for an entertaining show. I command you all to go see the Weeze if you never have.

Oh yeah, I swear my feet have gotten bigger. My Converses are uncomfortable now, and the boots I ordered are a tad too small, even though I got a larger size than usual. Yay?

School

I should probably update this.

School started last Thursday, and I've already skipped a class today due to not being able to get out of bed (shifty eyes). It's been a little slow, since I'm taking the minimum progress units. Plus most of my work is just reading, which, while convenient, can be boring and unmotivating.

So apparently I get to flip sheep in lab tomorrow. I have no idea what the purpose of that is, nor how to do it, but I suppose I will find out eh?

I start work on Saturday. It's a six-hour orientation shift at my old DC. Joy.

On the bright side, there was a study abroad fair yesterday, and I managed to come away with like five million brochures. I also talked to two Australians and an English person (probably a Londoner from the accent), which made me giddy. And like half the agencies, including summer abroad next year at Davis, had Ireland on their list. :D It's a sign, I swear. I would freaking love to take classes on Irish culture for a month over the summer. So, I'm crossing my fingers. ^^

I'm So Gonna Be a Cat Lady One Day

This has got to be the cutest thing I've ever seen.

Also, this totally cracked me up.

Yes, I'm a freak.

Finally Registered

I'm pretty satisfied with my schedule, minus the fact that I got waitlisted for Soc 1. Otherwise, it looks like a fairly easy quarter is coming up. Hopefully I get to go to San Jose before classes start; I'd say that's a better way to kick off the school year than dancing with the cows.

My Celtic Thunder CD arrived! Of course, it contains less than half of the songs on the DVD, so I'm waiting to get Act 2 since my birthday is coming up. *hint hint*

Umm what else... I still have pretty much nothing to do, and today I got desperate enough to wake up about four hours earlier than usual to go volunteer downtown. At least Disneyland is in less than two days. :D
